On the last Sunday of every month, a small crowd gathers in Penn Road Gardens — gloves on, trowels ready, and smiles at the ready. Our Monthly Gardening Sundays have become one of the nicest ways to spend a morning with neighbours. Everyone’s welcome — no experience needed! Some people prune or plant, others sweep paths or simply chat and enjoy the fresh air. It’s relaxed, social, and surprisingly satisfying to see what we can achieve in just a couple of hours. Our annual Winter Gathering is coming up soon! Join your neighbours in The Gardens on Sunday 30th November, 2–4pm for an afternoon of festive cheer as we light our sustainable Christmas tree together. There’ll be singing, kids’ games, mulled wine, and plenty of seasonal snacks — a lovely way to catch up, meet new faces, and welcome the winter season as a community.
